In 2021, when I visited again, most of the shops such as greengrocers, rice shops, liquor store,hardware shops, and perm shops were gone. Only the Tofu Moritaya building remains.

2021年、再訪すると八百屋、米屋、酒屋、金物屋、パーマ屋などほとんどのお店は無くなっていた。とうふ森田屋さんの建物のみ残る。

In 2021, as in 1984, it was a quiet place where time seemed to have stopped except when trains were passing by.
This is a place that has been buried in the middle of the city because of the close proximity of JR Shinjuku Station and Yoyogi Station, two highly convenient stations.

2021年も、1984年当時と変わらず、電車通過時以外は時が止まったかの様な静寂な場所でした。
JR新宿駅、代々木駅と利便性の高い駅がすぐ近くに存在しているがゆえに、都会のど真ん中にありながら埋もれてしまっている場所。
