This is the nickname for the Shibuya River promenade, which was built over the culverted Shibuya River in 1964. At that time, it was still a peaceful park with swings and other playground equipment.The number of “Urahara-kei” fashion brands has increased because of its different location from the hustle and bustle of Takeshita-dori, even if it is a little inconvenient to be away from the station.
1964（昭和39)年、暗渠化された渋谷川の上に作られた「渋谷川遊歩道」の愛称。まだこの頃はブランコなど遊具のある、のどかな公園でした。駅から離れて少々不便でも、竹下通りの喧騒とは異なる立地を魅力とした「裏原系」と呼ばれるファッションブランドが増えました。
Shibuya Meiji Street in front of “Shibuya Cast” 1984⇔2021
The building on the left side of the photo, the first floor of the Miyashitacho apartment building, was lined with shops. It was dismantled in 2015 due to aging, and the complex facility “Shibuya Cast” was completed in 2017.
渋谷・明治通り「渋谷キャスト」前 1984⇔2021写真左側の建物、都営住宅「宮下町アパート」1階路面に店舗が連なっていた。2015年に老朽化のため解体、2017年に複合施設「渋谷キャスト」が完成。
