Ura-Harajuku・Cat Street1984⇔2021
This is the nickname for the Shibuya River promenade, which was built over the culverted Shibuya River in 1964. At that time, it was still a peaceful park with swings and other playground equipment.
The number of “Urahara-kei” fashion brands has increased because of its different location from the hustle and bustle of Takeshita-dori, even if it is a little inconvenient to be away from the station.
裏原宿・キャットストリート1984⇔2021
1964（昭和39)年、暗渠化された渋谷川の上に作られた「渋谷川遊歩道」の愛称。まだこの頃はブランコなど遊具のある、のどかな公園でした。
駅から離れて少々不便でも、竹下通りの喧騒とは異なる立地を魅力とした「裏原系」と呼ばれるファッションブランドが増えました。
キャットストリートを渋谷方面にまっすぐ行くと明治通り、宮下公園前に繋がります。
Shibuya Meiji Street in front of “Shibuya Cast” 1984⇔2021
The building on the left in the photo. The dilapidated Miyashita-cho Apartment No. 3, a municipal housing complex, had a row of stores on the first floor.
In 2015, the building was demolished due to its age, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government solicited businesses to build the Shibuya Cast complex, which was completed in 2017.
渋谷・明治通り「渋谷キャスト」前 1984⇔2021
写真左側の建物。老朽化した都営住宅「宮下町アパート」3号棟には1階路面に店舗が連なっていた。
2015（平成27)年に老朽化のため解体、都が事業者を公募し複合施設「渋谷キャスト」が2017年に完成。
