平屋の駅舎も、2011（平成23）年に、3階建ての橋上駅舎化された駅ビルに建て替えた。北側駅舎に駅ナカ商業施設「京王リトナードつつじヶ丘」がオープン。タクシー待機場も半分はコインパーキングになった。
Tsutsujigaoka Station North Exit, Keio Line 1984⇔2023
The one-story station building was rebuilt into a three-story bridge station building in 2011. Keio Ritonado Tsutsujigaoka, a commercial facility inside the station, opened in the north station building. Half of the cab standby area is now used as coin-operated parking.
駅前の放置自転車が歩道を埋めている。昭和の時代には多摩地域各地では、駅前の放置自転車は大きな問題になっていた。高度成長期からバブル期にかけて、住宅地は駅周辺からそれ以外へと拡大し続け、バスと自転車がそれを支えた。あふれる自転車は社会問題になった。しかし、行政が駐輪場をつくるなどの対策を行ったため、放置自転車は減っていった。
Abandoned bicycles in front of the station fill the sidewalk. In the Showa period (1926-1989), abandoned bicycles in front of stations were a major problem in many parts of the Tama region. During the period of rapid economic growth and the bubble economy, residential areas continued to expand from the station area to the rest of the city, supported by buses and bicycles. The overflowing bicycles became a social problem. However, the number of abandoned bicycles decreased as the government took measures such as building bicycle parking lots.
