東京大空襲時、街路樹が全焼した表参道で、ケヤキだけが焼け残り、防火壁としての同潤会アパートが実証されたそうです。
建物や設備の老朽化が進み、保存が強く求められたものの解体され、2006（平成18）年「表参道ヒルズ」が竣工しました。

At the time of the Tokyo air raid, the trees along the street were burned down in Omotesando, but only the zelkova tree survived the fire, demonstrating the Dojunkai Apartments as a firewall.
The building and its facilities became decrepit, and although there was a strong demand to preserve it, it was demolished, and construction of Omotesando Hills was completed in 2006.
