江戸初期からの桜の名所の上野公園です。正面の建物は明治5年(1872年)に開館した日本で最古の博物館である東京国立博物館。日本を中心とする東洋の美術作品と考古遺物が収蔵されています。国宝と重要文化財を含む収蔵件数は約12万件。本館は1937年（昭和12年）に竣工、設計は渡辺仁、明治神宮宝物殿と同様に、日本伝統の木造建築を鉄筋コンクリートに置き換えた、形と技術の和洋折衷建築です。2025年4月「うえの桜まつり」ソメイヨシノやヤマザクラなど、さまざまな種類の桜が約800本咲き誇っています。
Ueno Park Tokyo National Museum 1984⇔2025
Ueno Park has been famous for its cherry blossoms since the early Edo period. The building in front is the Tokyo National Museum, the oldest museum in Japan, which opened in 1872. The museum houses works of art and archaeological artifacts from Japan and other Oriental countries. The museum’s collection includes approximately 120,000 items, including national treasures and important cultural properties. The main building was completed in 1937 and designed by Jin Watanabe. Like the Meiji Jingu Treasure Hall, it is an architectural blend of Japanese and Western forms and techniques, replacing traditional Japanese wooden architecture with reinforced concrete.April 2025 “Ueno Cherry Blossom Festival” About 800 cherry trees of various kinds, including Someiyoshino and Yamazakura, are in bloom.
