コマスタジアム向かい側の光景です。 8階建てのビル「東亜会館」4フロアをディスコが占めていた。「カンタベリーハウスビバ館」「カンタベリーハウスギリシャ館」などのネオンが輝いている。80年代のディスコビルといえば六本木の「スクエアビル」と新宿「東亜会館」であった。

新宿コマ劇場 1984⇔2021
1956（昭和31）年のオープン以来、美空ひばりさんや北島三郎さんをはじめとする数多くの座長公演を行い、本格的な円形舞台を持つ歌謡・芝居劇場として、昭和の新宿を象徴するものでした。1990（平成２）年ごろより入場客数の減少に歯止めがかからず業績が低迷し、また建物自体の老朽化が進行し、2008年に閉館。複合施設「新宿東宝ビル」が竣工しました。周辺の路地裏（新宿東宝ビルの横=トー横）でたむろをする若者の集団はトー横キッズ（とうよこ・キッズ）と呼ばれています。

Since its opening in 1956, the theater has hosted many headliners including Hibari Misora and Saburo Kitajima, and as a song and drama theater with a full-scale round stage, it was a symbol of Shinjuku in the Showa era.The theater was closed in 2008 due to the decline in the number of visitors since 1990 and the aging of the building itself. The building was closed in 2008, and the Shinjuku Toho Building complex was completed.The group of young people who hang out in the back alleys around the area (next to the Shinjuku Toho Building = “To-Yoko”) are called “To-Yoko Kids.
