東急百貨店東横店は、荷物を搬入するための入り口が建物の周りに取れなかったために、国道246号線の南側に搬入口を設置し、そこから地下２００ｍをトロッコに乗せて荷物を搬入していたそうです。搬入口への道路は明治通りが混雑している時の、並木橋方面から山手線沿いの道は国道246、渋谷駅南側への抜け道でした。
Tokyu Department Store Toyoko Store loading entrance 1984⇔2025
Tokyu Department Store Toyoko had to set up a loading entrance on the south side of Route 246, from which goods were carried 200 m underground on a trolley, because an entrance for carrying in goods could not be taken around the building. The road to the loading entrance was a loophole from the direction of Namikibashi to Route 246 and the south side of Shibuya Station along the Yamanote Line when Meiji-dori was congested.
