サラリーマンの聖地、TV街頭インタビューの定番スポット。SLはC11型蒸気機関車である。日本の鉄道開業100周年を記念して1972年に設置された。塗装などメンテナンス中のC11。憩いの場だった噴水やベンチが撤去されている。時代の流れとともに、駅前広場の使われ方も変わってきた。

A sacred place for salaried workers, a standard spot for TV street interviews. SL is a C11 type steam locomotive. It was installed in 1972 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the opening of railways in Japan. C11 under maintenance such as painting. Fountains and benches that were places of relaxation have been removed. With the passage of time, the ways in which station squares are used have also changed.
