５・６番線は山手線、京浜東北線のホームです。JR駅の構内でよく見かける小さな売店「KIOSK」。2007年までは全国的に「キヨスク」、それ以降はJR東日本エリアでは「キオスク」と呼ばれる。各ホームごとに複数の店舗を有した駅でも駅舎内の1店舗に集約したり、自動販売機によるオートキヨスク形態の店舗が増加している。店頭の新聞見出しに「ホテルニュージャパン火災横井社長逮捕」の記事があるので、撮影年は1982年と思われる。
Tokyo Station Platform KIOSK 1982⇔2023
Platforms 5 and 6 are platforms for the Yamanote Line and Keihin-Tohoku Line. KIOSK is a small shop that you often see inside JR stations. Until 2007, it was called “kiosk” nationwide, and after that it was called “kiosk” in the JR East area. Even stations that had multiple stores on each platform have been consolidated into one store within the station building, and the number of stores in the form of auto kiosks using vending machines is increasing. The newspaper headline in front of the store reads, “Hotel New Japan Fire President Yokoi Arrested,” suggesting that the photo was taken in 1982.
